Hamburg - Elbphilharmonie

Hamburg - Elbephilharmonie

One of my favourite buildings in Hamburg is the Elbphilharmonie (Elbe Philharmonic Hall), popularly nicknamed Elphi.  It is a concert hall in the Hafen City quarter of Hamburg, Germany.  Located on the Grasbrook peninsula of the Elbe River, it is among the largest in the world.  The new glassy construction resembles a hoisted sail, water wave, iceberg or quartz crystal resting on top of an old brick warehouse and is the tallest inhabited building in the city height of 108 metres (354 ft).  The Plaza located on the 8th floor offers spectacular panoramic views over the city.
