Leon Cathedral

On Location - Leon Cathedral, Spain

Santa María de León Cathedral, also called ‘The House of Light’ is a Catholic church in the city of León in north-western Spain. Built in the Gothic style the cathedral was built in the 13th Century with modifications ongoing through the 15th Century.  The most striking aspect of the cathedral for me was its stained-glass windows. With at least 1,764 square meters of surface, most of it containing the original windows, it is one of the most extensive and best-preserved collections of medieval stained glass in Europe.
