Just a short journey from my home city in Edinburgh is Glasgow, a thriving and bustling city full of character and culture. A must for any visitor to the city is the wonderful Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Here you will find a wonderfully diverse collection of art and museum pieces; something to please everyone. My favourites were the Dali's Christ of St. John on the Cross, Rembrandt's Man in Armour, the collection of Glasgow Boys artwork.
A fun way to introduce yourself to the city is to follow the Mural Trail; around 30 enormous art installations covering various aspects of Glasgow, it's history, and it's people.
Finishing off is the area around the Cathedral and Necropolis. Unfortunately I was not able to enter the cathedral due to covid restrictions; I would love to return one day to view the stained glass windows. More to follow..... :)
